JOB PURPOSE:

  • Supervise the implementation of case management services and activities , provide technical support to the case management team and build the capacity of the case management team by providing relevant training on case management.
  • To improve response to child protection issues and to increase access to the most vulnerable cases

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

  • Will be responsible for a team of case management workers.
  • Responsible for developing individual plans with case workers for each case separately to meet their needs and help reduce protection risks.
  • Participate with case workers in aspects of case management services (from meeting beneficiaries and their families to case management plans to cases closure).
  • Assisting case management workers in coordinating services with other organizations to ensure that beneficiaries receive the care they need.
  • Supervise the implementation of case management services and activities.
  • Provide technical support to the case management team.
  • Build the capacity of the case management team by providing relevant training on case management.
  • Field supervision of the case management team work.
  • Coordinate with working organizations to facilitate referral process.
  • Holding regular meetings with case management workers.
  • Holding case conferences; reviewing and discussing the cases.
  • Summarize cases and challenges through periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Monitor the documentation of cases and ensuring their electronic archiving.
  • Monitor the progress of work according to the project plan and its indicators.
  • Auditing requests for material support for cases according to their needs and submitting requests to the direct supervisor.
  • Monitoring and justifying the process of material support for the cases with case management workers.
  • Perform other work tasks requested by the project manager.

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • University degree or institute in social sciences, psychological counseling, or related to this subject.
  • Practical experience of not less than 5 years in child protection and case management work.
  • Experience for 3 years in supervising teams of child protection cases.
  • Experience in training and has a TOT trainer certificate.
  • Excellent administrative report writing skills in English.
  • High efficiency in coordinating local efforts to meet the needs of at-risk children.
  • Self-motivated and initiative with a high level of energy.
  • Strong knowledge and commitment to humanitarian work standards.
  • Commitment to human rights and community approach
  • Ability to work within a team under pressure and respond to changing needs.
  • Priority for applicants within the work areas.
  • Female is required for this position

Language:

  • fluent in English & fluent in Arabic (written and spoken).

IT Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills .
  • Proficiency in the internet and search tools.
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Access and word are a must)
