Home-based: Consultancy to Develop Save the Children’s Approach to Group Activities for Children’s Protection, Wellbeing and Learning in Humanitarian Crises

Save the Children International is looking for a consultant to develop a global standardized guide for group activities for child protection, welling and learning in humanitarian crises. We estimate that this consultancy will take 92 days over a one-year period and focus primarily on the following tasks:

  • Scoping review of documents and key informant interviews.
  • Develop programme principles and guidance.
  • Develop manual of foundational activities.
  • Develop/ review navigation tools.
  • Develop and conduct online ToT in 3 locations.
  • Online training for teams in 3 humanitarian locations.
  • Piloting in 3 locations (SCI will cover costs of air travel and accommodation).
  • Update principles and guidance.

What we require from you:

  • Have 7+ years of experience, a relevant Bachelor’s degree;
  • Experience of Child Protection programming in humanitarian crises;
  • Strong written and spoken English; and
  • Experience of developing and piloting guidance, tools and capacity building material.

For this application, please provide:

A proposal of your understanding of this TOR and how you envision carrying out the task. Include in your proposal a work plan, budget including all your projected costs to complete the task, and your availability, if working as a team, outline team structure and role definition, and suggested ways of working with SCI referencing to the TOR. Please add other contextual information necessary as your proposal will be used as the contractual guide.
